lexmark Z32 Printer

Aug 1, 2004 1:21PM PDT

HP 3.00E GH, Win XP, 160 GB HDD, 512 MB memory, IE6-OE6, Norton Antivirus, firewall

I have a Lexmark Z32 printer that has given me no problems for the last 2 years. Now it stalls after first third of the job. If you turn the printer off and reprint same job it works fine. Any ideas why it is stalling and what I can do? Appreciate it!

phad,

Only a guess here, but have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling the printer and printer software? Sometimes, some corruption occurs and it just needs to be reinstalled.

Have you checked the Lexmark site for any new software updates?

Hope this helps.

Your model ptr. while a basic one relies on the OS to maintain itself. If you're doing alot of tasking or added pgms/processing since you've had the system, it may need more time, just give it some more time like 5-min. or more and see what happens. Items like OS upgardes or other pgms. may interfere or hog resources and related to the above, check what you really need to keep. Lexmark provides some basic assistance if a common problem, review thier FAQ's and such. Also, you can de-install then reinstall, but do this as a last resort. if you have one, use a registry cleaner to better things on that side.
