Recently I installed a printer on my PC. The printer is a Lexmark x75, which connects via USB.
However, after installing the drivers etc for the printer, I restarted the PC and during the Power on Self Test, a series of beeps can be heard. I determined around 2/3 beeps.
Now, I know these beeps signify something, like bad RAM, parity errors etc. However, I don't think it has anything to do with the computer. I unplugged the printers USB cable from the PC and restarted...guess what, no unusual beeps
What can this be? Is it serious or is it nothing to worry about. It seems as though the beeps are printer related, as I've only heard them ever since the Lexmark was installed.
Also, there are no error messages during start-up, I've paused the screen to scrutinise it, but nothing seems wrong. Then PC boots fine after the beeps, Windows XP loads as normal.
Can anyone shed some light upon this?
