Lets give kudos to the good guys!

by harrietj / August 4, 2006 4:03 AM PDT

Unfortunately the show and by extension this board has just become a vehicle for people who just like to complain about everything.

For a nice change of pace, I want to hear about the tech companies, ISPs, Telco?s, people in the tech arena who are doing good.

I will start I have had good experiences with Bellsouth DSL, Gateway, Sony Ericsson and some others.

Guys, for at least one day, lets try to point out the positive. Leave the rants for Mondays!!!!

And I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend!!!!

2. My NEC Mitsubishi LCD monitor is still holding up strong after 4 years.
3. My Cambridge Soundworks PC speaker system is still working great after 8 years (gasp!).
4. My Bose 501 speakers are still kicking after 16 years (bigger gasp!).
5. My AMD 1.2GHz home-built PC going strong for 4 years.

There's more but I gotta go...

1. Home built PC of 2 years hasn't caught on fire in 3 months
2. My Sony Ericsson T616 (AT&T/cingular service) is starting to crap out on my after 2.5 years of extraordinary use. I'm gonna go Bolton on it when I pick up a new SE W810i
3. My overly priced Vaio Laptop is still going strong. For what I paid for it, my grandkids better still be using it.
4. Samsung 910t LCD monitor is awesome as always, so good I bought two more (I know, totally unnecessary).
5. Iriver MP3 player of 3 years won't freakin break down, so It can give me an excuse to buy a new one.

thanks a lot good guys.

Apple for bending over backwards to help me out with both laptops.
Microsoft for their efforts in Windows Live.
Macromedia for their unbelievably great Studio 8 suite.
Adobe for PDF.
Volvo for the 10 year old S40 rocking it outside my house.
August 18th for Snakes on a Plane.
TMV for BOL.

Meaning; the world is full of good but to celebrate everything makes celebration lose its value. Meanwhile, highlighting all the flaws is necessary to improve the world.
