Let's cheat or is it

Jan 22, 2015 1:04AM PST

the recent acknowledged that "De-inflategate scandel" is upon the NFL Patriots really all that bad. Anytime you can an advantage, why not use it. But, is this one of those rules that just surfaced or something new again that no one realized could happen. Who knew a minor de-inflation of a ball would be an advantage. I had to understand where this was going, maybe you too can figure or let's point fingers.

There, it all makes sense. I wondered if they should even be allowed in the playoffs as this was an ongoing thing. Can they actually disqualify and maybe they should. I say, ban the team for 10 games(not play) and let that sink in. -----Willy Happy

Make them play next season with 4 lbs less air pressure

in their football, since they like the under-inflated model.

I guess then they would be able to fold the football up and hide it somewhere....that should reveal some interesting hiding spots.

this morning? FF28 didn't display it for me. I checked the source and there's some long old style text image that shoves the beginning of page way down.

The more you look the more you find and it isn't hard. Wooo, the Patriots got issues...

Come on, again something is known and really nothing is hurting these people. Penalties work if they hurt, why not take them out of the Superbowl and let the next game leader in or have yet another playoff. Plus, they have to pay for the playoff. If you get the feeling I don't like cheats, bingo you feel me. -----Willy Happy

I would think the balls were underinflated not by cheating but conditions, such as inflating in a warm room, then out in the cold air, and getting kicked, and fallen on, etc. As pointed out, official handle the balls at each down, so why didn't they make any notice of it before end of first half? Who checked the balls? Perhaps their meter is off, or they were responsible for erroneous readings. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

so why didn't they make any notice of it before end of first half?

Because they didn't "squeeze" the ball UNTIL someone else brought it up? Can you pick up, carry and put a football on the ground (linesman duties) without being tempted to squeeze it...2 reasons to squeeze a football, to check the pressure and when you want a good grip to throw it.

such as inflating in a warm room, then out in the cold air,

It wasn't THAT cold. On a really hot day, would the ball explode? So that's why they don't play football in the summer....the balls would explode.

The NFL playoff game between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers on Sunday could be one of the coldest games ever played. The 1967 "Ice Bowl" holds the current record, when temperatures at Green Bay's Lambeau Field sank to minus -13 degrees Fahrenheit.Jan 4, 2014

Playing then would be like throwing a pancake?

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Sounds like defending the indefensible to me.
