Leopard on an Emac?

Dec 9, 2007 11:57AM PST

I am currently running Mac OS 10.4.11 on my Emac with one Gig ram w/a 1Ghz G4 processor. Anyone have any experience using upgrading to Leopard on such a system?

That machine should upgrade to Leopard quite well.
You have enough RAM and the processor is adequate.

Hopefully you will get answers from those who have made the upgrade on that type of machine

I have updated two eMAC's to leopard. Both where 1Ghz with 512Meg's of ram and both worked great so don't hesitate. (excuse the pun)

the eMac will run Leopard. It may not be as smooth as Tiger, but it will work. My 1Ghz iMac runs it pretty well for the most part, so your eMac can handle it too.

Just chiming in.

Leopard on an eMac

My son has an eMac and is running Leopard with no problems except that his Lexmark printer wouldn't work. However, Lexmark has recently updated their driver to work with Leopard.

emac on leopard one word...........amazing

My emac runs like a charm. It has a 640 ram, which makes it run speed wise ok. Considering yours is 1 gig it will run much better. I would give eMac on leopard a 9.5/10
