Leopard and purchasing a MBP

Mar 8, 2007 2:57AM PST

I have almost made up my mind to make the switch and purchase a Macbook Pro for video editing. So, while I have several questions I will ask one for this post and another one later.

My first question is:
When will Leopard be released? I know "Spring 07" but when in spring? If I purchase a new Mac now, will I be able to upgrade for free if it is released in so many days after?

you have the date exactly right!

If anyone here knew the date of the Leopard launch, they would tell you. Right now, the only people who know "when" are the people at Apple who are building it.

If you purchase a new Mac now, and Leopard is not released shortly thereafter, you will have to pay for Leopard.
The grace period is usually around 3 weeks or so.
