Question

Lenovo Z580: Make Fn keys work with iTunes?

Oct 24, 2012 8:54AM PDT

On my Lenovo Z580, the Fn+F9-F12 combinations control Play/Pause, Stop, Next and Previous for songs. By default, it works with Windows Media Player. To get it to work with iTunes, I enabled the "Allow iTunes audio control from remote speakers" option (iTunes>Edit>Prefrences>Devices). This made the buttons work with iTunes whether it was minimized or not.

However, the Play/Pause button opens Windows Media Player whenever it is used (at the same time, it pauses the song on iTunes). I disabled Windows Media Player from the Control Panel but it keeps opening when I try to use the Play/Pause. The Stop, Previous and Next buttons don't have this problem, so how to I stop the Play/Pause from opening WMP? Any solutions would be much appreciated Happy
