Question

Lenovo vs HP Desktop

Jul 10, 2013 11:44PM PDT

I'm looking at getting a new desktop PC. Best Buy has a Lenovo with Intel Processor an NVIDIA Graphics Card for $699 and an HP with AMD Processor and Graphics Card for $699. Normally I would lean towards the Intel Processor but the HP has 2GB more RAM and the HD is a 1.5 TB, 500 GB larger than the Lenovo. Both are unfortunately windows 8 but I can live with that.

I will use this to sunset my HP Pavilion dm4 laptop that is getting clunky and slow with random dialog boxes popping up that I don't have time to troubleshoot. It also doesn't have a dedicated grophics card so games are brutal I mainly use the PC for outlook, Itunes, internet, pictures, and light gaming (Company of Heroes, Text Based SIMS, maybe a few new titles.)

I'm curious if anyone has an opinion on which way I should go with the desktop.

Benchmark wise I'd lean to the Amd unit.......just for the better graphics.
