Turns out it needed a BIOS update.
Check the Lenovo site for this and other updates.
Another area I run into are users that didn't fix the power options on their new laptop. Out of the box I find most laptops to SLEEP when you tap the power button. When that happens, even if the battery was fully charged the day before, overnight it drains the battery and won't start.
Again, I find most folk completely unaware of this.
My Lenovo ThinkPad sometimes doesn't turn on when I click in the power button even with the battery charged, to switch it on I need to connect the charger on the computer.
But sometimes accepts to turn on normally without all these methods
