Lenovo Ideapad U150 v. Dell Mini 311.. Which is best for me?

Nov 13, 2009 11:57AM PST

First off I just priced both Netbooks, maxed out the specs, and they're only about $5 apart.

Both have several similar features, such as a 320GB HD, >2GB of RAM, HDMI, 6-Cell battery and an 11.6" screen. The main difference in both is that the Mini 311 sports a 1.66GHz (N280 Atom) and the NVidia ION, while the Ideapad U150 has a Core 2 Duo 1.3GHz with the Intel X4500. The Ideapad U150 also has W7 Home (64Bit) while the Mini 311 has W7 Home (32Bit)

My weekly use of a notebook:
1. Surf the web
2. Edit photos on Photoshop for eBay auctions
3. Download Music and Movies
4. Watch 720p mkv files (on computer and TV via HDMI)
5. Listen to music on ITunes

Based on these factors, which is the better buy for me?

Looking into the Asus 1201N
Dec 7, 2009 1:43PM PST

I've actually decided to look into the Asus Eee PC 1201N. It has the power of a dual core (2 x 1.6GHz Intel Atom) AND it uses Nvidia Ion. IMO (on paper), the best of both worlds. And it's competitively priced at $500 on Amazon.
