You let the maker fix it. I have run into a few folk that demand to know why it failed and they often explode when the maker fixes it but doesn't provide a report on why it happened.
Newly bought. All the new laptops have a 1 year warranty so why not use that?

Hello,
Recently, my newly bought laptop- a Lenovo IdeaPad S510P Touch has been encountering hardware problems, please help me fix and/or troubleshoot them.
Most recently, its optical drive does not work- it does not open, its light does not blink at all, but it is still recognized and seen in Windows and in device manager. I've tried the "Eject" button in the drive and in Windows, I've tried reinstalling drivers, pressing Eject in the Computer window, but to no avail. Usually, the drive lights up during the boot-up process, but now it doesn't. Personally, I know the drive isn't damaged because the last time it worked, it worked as normal, nothing out of the ordinary. If it's a power/connecton problem, how do I fix it?
Secondly, its touch screen stopped working. It just stopped working. I've also tried reinstalling drivers, and doing everything I could, but its touch screen just won't work. It worked before, but as far as I can remember, it stopped working after I installed a bunch of Windows Updates.
Please help me diagnose and find the causes of the problems above. I don't have enough $ as of the moment to bring it to the computer repair shop and get it fixed. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
