Lenovo hoax regarding G series

by mangeshhendre / November 29, 2009 1:28 AM PST

I have purchased Lenovo G550 series on 11/22/2009 from www.lenovo.com. I have received receipt of the transaction along with the order number. On 11/25/2009, I received an email saying that Lenovo is canceling the order due to web error from their side. I trusted the Lenovo website and provided my personal information along with credit card. I think, this is not my mistake and eligible to receive the laptop. Please let me know if anybody has any comments or suggestion in order to proceed this order. Your inputs are valuable in this matter.

Thanks and Regards,
Mangesh Hendre

Lenovo is a Chinese company.

So it could well be Chinese law applies here. Did you study the terms of sale?
And even if you're right, it will be difficult to get the machine.

Lenovo is fraud company!
by mangeshhendre / November 29, 2009 8:00 AM PST

Yes, Lenovo is Chinese company and they may have Chinese laws but I lost my faith and trust in such cheap company who puts their deals on their own website and withdraw it as and when they wish. Also, they are setting wrong example and reputation for e-commerce and internet shopping. It is their sole responsibility to test the contents/deals they put on the internet. Also, it is so cheap to cancel the order once processed. There are company's like HP, Apple, Dell who would have stand by for their own such mistakes and would have sent the machine. But as you said Lenovo is Chinese company and they can do such frauds to avoid some less profit over customer satisfaction.
Kees, I appreciate your view and information (Chinese company and Chinese laws) you provided. Thanks!

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
