Lenovo G500 keyboard problem on Win 7

Feb 14, 2015 3:45PM PST

Hi!

I have a lenovo G500 laptop.
Originally I had WIn 8.1 on it but I didnt like it, so I installed Win 7 yesterday.
At install I needed to delete every small partitions or else the windows wrote, it can not be installed on that patition because it's style was GPT.
After I deleted everything, I could.
So I installed every driver from lenevo's site, but two things didn't come alive.
One was the keyboard, the other the touchpad.
The touchpad/keyboard driver is also installed.
I have tried various driver updater softwares but nono of them has solved my problem.
I can use only the windows 'screen keyboard'...
I dont know if it can affect, but I needed to set in the BIOS BOOT section the boot mode to 'Legacy support', and the order to 'Legacy first'.
And I also installed the Windows 7 BIOS Update from lenovo's website.
Anyone, any ideas?
I am out of them...
How can I solve this?

p.s.: In the BIOS the keyboard works so the problem must be software problem...

Go back to the Windows 8.1 from your recovery disks and all will be fine. Consider to install Classic Shell to make it look even more like Windows 7.

The makers have such because of situations like this.

Folk for some reason don't ask or know about Classic Shell and plow ahead like this. So ask if they offer restore media next. You need such for today's laptops anyway and almost all PCs since the 1980's.
