Question

Lenovo A2010 weird software problem

Apr 12, 2018 11:36AM PDT

Hey,

I'm owner of smartphone Lenovo A2010 and about a month ago I cleaned my memory on my SD card. After like 2 weeks all the files were back. I just thought I didn't clear them properly, so I connected my phone to a computer and deleted the files from the copmuter. Now, about a week later, they are all back again. Would this be possible to solve without resetting the factory settings?
Thanks in advance.

Jake

Why is this a problem? Apps store temp files to avoid downloading content. There's nothing broken or weird about this.

Let's hear more.

Thanks for your reply. I'd like to disable this function, because I really want the files deleted.

You never told what files it were.As long as that is unknown, nobody here can tell. So please give the details.

How did all those files come into the system?
What folders where they in? You didn't yet tell.

I'm afraid there is no automatic way to delete files from the download folder. Only you know when you don't need it any more.
And there surely is no automatic way to delete pictures taken. Only you know when you don't need them any more.

But I don't think you can be surprised "they were back" if you downloaded them again or made the photo's again. Use your favorite file manager (either on the phone or on a PC) to delete them or move them somewhere else.

It's the same as with a PC where you're responsible yourself for the contents of My Documents, My Downloads and My Pictures. Windows doesn't do it for you.

I don't think you understand what I mean.

I selected the files and hit Delete. On the computer I even hit Shift+Delete. They are back and I don't know why. And yes, I used built-in file manager to delete the songs and built-in image viewer to delete the pictures. And I didn't download them again nor did I took the pictures again. I think I'm not beginner in this stuff, so I know how to delete files. But I have never seen the files again, when I had force deleted them before.

You have some sync to the cloud feature enabled. As there are a few clouds I can't guess which you are using. There's Google's Android sync, Samsung has their own and other makers have theirs.

So it's your phone so you get to find out where the sync is on, turn it off but lose the safety net it provides.

Oh, you may be right. I use google backup thingy. It was useful when I updated the software and then all the apps have been crashing every time I opened them. Thanks android, and thanks goolge. I had to factory reset.
