Resolved Question

Leftover Question, from Resolved One

Using XP Home, 32 bit, and I'm sure you've all heard that I.E. sometimes manages to take over as peoples' default browser. To retrieve Firefox as my default one, I have to go to Yahoo and invent another password and all that. It's a Yahoo toolbar.

Know any shortcuts, to stay away from Yahoo? If I went to Firefox 17, would it be easier? And I could make Facebook my opening page? Thanks in advance. Have a nice Friday evening and weekend.
