I'm sorry you've had to do all the hard work on this.

I've also posted some results in the V&S discussion from the virus scan site at jotti.org, as my scan there seemed to pick up something.

However, Jonah has downloaded, unzipped, and run the exe file and he says it works.

Lee there's something unusual here with Download.com's file. I'm not sure if your techs would want to look into this?

The one I downloaded

from the url says it's corrupt.

I can understand why the virus programs are picking it up but why is it corrupt? It doesn't work.

Update
Jun 26, 2007 2:40AM PDT

to download the keyfinder

I had to disable Avast

downloaded the key finder.

It works.

Avast must have an effect on it and makes it malfunction

Lee, we figured it out

The Magic Key Finder is a download at download.com

Avast comes up and alerts me about a trojan. I understand this, since it's a crack tool.

If I download it without disabling Avast, Avast will corrupt the file. I think it does this because it know it's not suppose to be used.

To download The Magic Key Finder using Avast you have to disable Avast, download the file, use the file, then re-enable Avast.

Thanks,

Lee, could you please
Jun 28, 2007 7:45PM PDT

either post it somewhere or have the download.com team put a url so we can find out how to report problems that we find and/or other members tell us about.

I think that would be helpful.

Thanks,

Here's the link...

While on Cnet.com or download.com there's a Help Center link in the bottom left corner of the page, and if you select the E-mail Support tab you'll be directed here. I used to have a hard time getting through to anyone until Lee and the engineers discovered my username had become corrupt in the database. Now Lee dreads opening his mail box a little less. Wink
