Question

LED TV T24A550 firmware update

by lucianopena / November 1, 2011 12:28 AM PDT

Dear Samsung Support

I have a Monitor TV Model LT24A550LRCZB made in Argentina, that has firmware T-MSTMAUSC-1008.2

In http://www.samsung.com/es/consumer/pc-peripherals-printer/monitors/monitor-tv/LT24A550EW/EN/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support

There is available firmware version T-MSTMDEUC-1010.0 , tried to update my Monitor TV with that version but is not recognized by TV.

Phone contacted with Samsung Argentina Support (0-800-333-3733) but they have neither available any firmware nor information on future updates.

Kindly advice requested is: where can I download a newer firmware version for my TV-Monitor, or else if you have some comment on when new version will or could be available.

It is wise and reasonable that if there is an updated firmware version for this TV in other country, that should be also available for my country where I bought your product one month ago.

Appreciate in advance your answer.

With due respect and Kindly
Pedro Converso

T-MSTMIBRC firmware

In reply to: Changes in this FW ?

Dear Samsung Support:

I have a LT24A550LGCZB (digital tuner) TV-Monitor with firmware version T-MSTMIBRC 1006.2.

My question is the following:

Seeing that Spain version (DEUC) does not apply to my tv, which is the correct site localization to check for updates since my local firmware version is "IBRC"? Argentina? Brazil? Venezuela? Latin American Site? I bought it in Argentina, but samsung argentinian site does not even has a "firmware" tab on its product page.
Kind Regards and thanks in advance!!!

You would need to contact the Samsung customer service in Argentina. Here is a form where you can inquire, and a local phone number is also available on the Support page.

I don't have any information on firmware compatibility in regions other than the U.S.

MY LT24A550 From Brazil - LT24A550LBMZD

In reply to: T-MSTMIBRC firmware

Hello!
I'm living in Brazil, and own a Samsung LT24A550. So we did'ne have any firmware update until now, since I bought it, in 09/2011.
Our TA550 24" series is many deffective in Brazil, all issues about LCD screen black areas (not dead/stuck pixel). The local Samsung do nothing about... they are very, very bad way to maintain their consumers.

Well, we could update with any other firmware vesion from World? Our models not support .RMVB, or .MKV (with SUBs inded), and others issues.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. sorry my poor english...

Monitor firmware
by Samsung_HD_Tech Samsung staff / May 23, 2012 12:04 AM PDT

sobad_br2,

We do not recommend updating your monitor with any drivers other than those provided directly via Samsung Brazil's webpage for this device.

http://www.samsung.com/br/support/model/LT24A550LBMZD-downloads

This model also exists in the U.S. market, but a quick review of the U.S. product page shows that the most recent driver update for both the U.S. and Brazilian models was on 03/21/2011 and this was because it was a multi-language update.

Beyond that, you will always need to contact Samsung in your native country for support of devices purchased within that country.

Playing media files
by Samsung_HD_Tech Samsung staff / May 23, 2012 12:10 AM PDT

sobad_br2,

I also want to stress that your monitor's inability to play .RMVB and .MKV files is not a hardware limitation. These are video codecs, so you would merely need to find a software program (media player) that will support these formats.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
