Learning curve for Greasemonkey?

Oct 27, 2006 1:57AM PDT

Getting really annoyed with unreadable websites. The ones with dark backgrounds, small text, and poorly chosen contrasting colours. e.g.

http://www.getautomatix.com/

I can make the site more readable with View -> Page Style -> No Style but that may have some other side effects.

Anyway, starting looking around for potential solutions and came up with Firefox Greasemonkey extension. I have heard about this off and on but never delved into it.

Found this reference as a starting point.

My questions:
1) How long does it take to learn Greasemonkey? Probably somewhere between novice and journeyman and also probably well short of master.

2) Is it a reasonable tool to add to my kit?

3) Is there a better place to get started?
