I have a new LCD TV LE40A756R1MXXQ and it has the same problem.
I have MPEG2 streams recorded with my SONY Handycam DCR-SR90E and in the PC I see them correctly in wide screen 16x9.
When I playback the same files on tv using WiseLink (in a pen drive) video is shown with bad aspect 4x3, regardless of "Picture size" setting to "Original" or "Fit", and the TV does not let me select the picture size ( 16x9 or 4x3 ).
Firmare update T-RBYDEUC-1010.0 didn't help as well.
I have the same question / request: Does Samsung work on that problem? Will it be fixed in the next firmware update?
Hello Mr Samsung!
I have a new LCD tv LE46A956. It nearly perfect as a television.
However WiseLink network functions seems a little bit unfinished.
I have some MPEG2 streams recorded from DVB-T card in my PC.
Streams are in PAL resolution 720x576 with aspect ratios 4:3 and 16:9. Usual video player on PC renders them correctly.
When I playback the same files on tv using WiseLink (over LAN) video is shown with bad aspect 5:4 (rectangular pixels) regardless of "Picture size" setting to "Original" or "Fit".
Firmare update to
Scaler S/W Version : T-RBYDEUM-1007.1
CPU S/W Version : T-RBYDEUC-1010.0
didn't help, neither the newest PC Share Manager 1.4.2
Does Samsung work on that problem? Will it be fixed in the next firmware update?
