Question

LE40C650 cold start colour fault

Jan 30, 2015 5:20AM PST

A cold start commonly results in weird colour on my LE40C650. If i turn the tv off, then on, the problem is gone. Every time. Which component of the tv is responsible for the picture colour?
By weird colour i mean that the blacks are pink and some of the other colours are misrepresented.

Hey Bob, thanks for the reply. Do you know if i can change the energy settings to allow restarting of the ccfl tubes or any other 'settings' fix for this type of issue?
Cheers

A tech would have to inspect the set and give an estimate. I dealt with aging CCFL devices and the symptom is known (to folk like me.) I have yet to find any settings cure it. Perils of the CCFL technology IMO.
