Could be wrong, but I've gained the impression that CI+ models have a "P" suffix, rather than "W". The firmware also seems to have "CIP" in the name.
I've recently purchased the above Samsung Series 5 model.
In the Netherlands the Cable operator (Ziggo) uses the CI+ standard for digital HD content. I've purchased a CI+ CAM and slid this in to the CI slot.
Then I receive a message that the TV does not 'fully' support CI+. I've downloaded the latest firmware from the Samnsung website (oktober 2009). But this did not fix the problem.
Is this model just not CI+ compatible? Will it be with a future Firmware update? The almost similar LE32B550 model does work with this CI+ CAM.
I realy don't want to use a set-top box and assumed that TV's with a DVB-CI slot would be able to work with CI+ CAMs
Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated
