I really appreciate the feedback, and I'll be happy to send this up to the proper departments for consideration.
These are some really good ideas, and I'll be happy to do that.
I'm now having Samsung's LE32 B650 tv for 4 days (software: TZ-CHLCIPDEUC-2004.8 * firmware: 2009/09/01_002004) ... and I already found things I wish this TV would be able to do...
1) PC Share Manager
Would be highly appreciated to find a version which is able to work with Windows 7
Even v2.3 is only -officially- usable with WinXP and Vista.
Sorry - but in general this piece of software is outdated crap.
It takes ages for accept changes, the navigation is like back in the 90's - and the chances that the software crashes on my Win-7 system are too high.
v2.0 was able to run a few hours; v2.3 is more or less a PITA... would be glad to see a total make-over of this software (which shouldn't be too hard, right?).
Drag-and-Drop , Windows Media Player / Center implemantation etc would be great!
It's a bit irritating to see that some free iPhone apps are better to handle / more up-to-date programmed
The idea is Sweet! After days of try-and-error I was able to use this feature (hope it will be still run when I re-start the PC).
But... why are my movie files, using DLNA, in a complete different scale than the same movie file, played from a USB flash / an external HDD (plugged via USB) or the HD Media Player that I have here?!?
I was able to have a correct scaled picture via DLNA - but then I changed somewhere (either PC or TV) some setting and I can't change it back... so I can't really use DLNA
And I'm talking about the same AVI file which I watched
- via DLNA in perfect / correct scale (yesterday)
- via USB in perfect / correct scale (yesterday + today)
- via media player in perfect / correct scale (yesterday + today)
- via DLNA in wrong scale (today)
Why can't I proper use the Fast Forward / Fast Backward functions?!?
Even the (above mentioned) HD Media Player (sales price: EUR 40!!) is able to do this! and this is just a piece of hardware plugged in between TV and HDD.
For me those keys on the remote are at the moment completely useless.
3) Channel Sorting
I should have the chance to sort the channels in some kind of way.
I do not only receive cable TV but also cable RADIO - and haven't found any way to jump to my radio stations...
4) Automatic "channel activation"
Wouldn't it be great if the channel is changed by the TV itself when you plug-in a USB , HDMI etc device / cable instead of hitting the "Source" key on the remote first?
Even my 15 year old TV is able to change to the AV channel when I turn on my DVD player (connected by a SCART) _and_ of course returns to the previous channel when the DVD player is turned off.
Let's see & hope - maybe Samsung will surprise me and implement such things soon
Do you think I have missed anything important...?
