LCD Weight

Feb 11, 2009 11:38PM PST

I'm considering getting a 40 inch lcd this weekend and have been doing a bit of research. I'm debating between the Samsung A550 and the A630 (four hundred more). Though I'd love to go the A630, I'm sure I'll be wowed by the 550, so not sure it is worth the extra cash. The big allure is that I watch a lot of sports (football, college bb, tennis, etc.), so the 120 hz might be needed. My question here, though, is why does the 550 weigh so much more than the other two? It is 19 lbs more, in fact. What accounts for the extra weight? Also, any other comments on picture and sound quality vs. price are welcome. Thanks!!
