azi_castro,
I've seen a similar case where products were sold in a different country than they are intended for, and the warranties from what I know only apply in the country of purchase, and products intended for those countries. Unfortunately, I can't speak too deeply on the warranties, since much of it is legal related, however I have yet to see a similar resolution.
I can only assist with U.S. related inquiries, so it is will regret that I have absolutely no influence in service centers in other countries.

Hi!
I bought an LCD tv Samsung LA32A330J in Singapore, and shipped it to the Phils. After a week of using it, an electric power failure in our area occured while watching, which lasted only for less than 5 minutes. The tv was not turned off during the power failure. When electricity was restored, the tv just opened up suddenly and shut down at once. Several attempts was made to turn it on again but to no avail, not even a sound was heard.
We contacted the Samsung repair shop in Cainta and was told that it would only cost us around 5000 to have it repaired. We waited for the parts to come and after 2 weeks or so, the repairman told us that they still have to order a new part which would mean we need to pay a total of 20,000 pesos.!
It was so impractical to have it done in the Phils., so I tried to contact Samsung Singapore and was told by them that even if I would try to ship the tv back in Singapore, the warranty is already void since the unit was already done in the Phils. (Warranty covers only Singapore).
Can anybody assist me in this? We have no choice but to pay the amount of 20k just to bring it back to its normal condition.
Is there any other option from Samsung for this kind of case? I tried to contact other service centers in the Phils to be able to get other opinion but was told that they can only service only those within their area.
Please help.
Thanks in advance ,,
Azi
