Question

LCD TV Flickers when image (movie) is black

TV model: LN40D550. Blu Ray player connected via HDMI.
This usually happens during the opening credits when there's no text displayed and there's only a black picture or whenever a scene in a movie fades completely to black. The screen will start flickering as if alternating between off and on mode as if it does not detect a signal, when in reality it's just a black screen present in the movie. It looks like some kind of energy saving feature anf whatnot. Any help? thanks in advance.

Answer
Could it be the BluRay?

Does this happen during regular TV shows or only when you are using the DVD player?
Have you tried the player with a different TV to see if the same thing happens?
It may be something you'll have to get used to.
