My oldest LIPO is now about 4 years old. For 98% of the device's life it sat in the charge cradle and while it only gets 30% of the runtime it had when new (maybe less?) it's still doing what it needs to do.
So the answer for me is to not fret too much here and don't do anything odd like drain it.

Hi. I own an Archos AV500 which have a 4 inch screen display and 480 x 272 pixel resolution. The battery is a Li-Ion Polyimer which I've heard is dangerous or whatever but I have to say it have resisted extremely high temperatures that I thought it was going to de on me... and it last many hours.. even for today...
My questions:
1. Does the LCD screen uses more battery if, let say, I apply a whiter background image for the player?.
2. What is the best way to treat the rechargeable battery... since it have limited charge cycles. Should I wait till it have drained all its battery to recharge or should I keep him charge as soon as I can... or....???
Thanx. excuse me if there is errors... english is not my first language.
I.
