and good prices including shipping?
At newegg, when you select LCD monitors the screen gives you a place to select numerous parameters and then it shows only monitors meet the criteria. You can pick 1 or 2 D-Sub [analog], 1 or 2 DVI [video} etc etc. I think that the Viewsonic was the lowest one with DVI and 8 msec. I bought the 10 msec polyview for $206.99 and free shipping, but doubt if that one would make you happy. It was so bright that I had to turn the brightness down almost to zero. No dead Pixels, but not great text and color I know not [I'm colorblind}
No way to actually see the display on the internet. Think about it, the picture that they snd out has to be displayed by the video card and monitor on YOUR computer and will them really be your monitor's version of the picture. Useless.
That is very important, however, no store that I know of has a large enough selection. It is very important thpough because brand names are not always the best. One Samsung can be great, and the next model not too good. That goes for any brand. If you select a model, you can then search the websites of stores such as Staples, Best Buy, et al, type in your ZIP code and see if they have that model in their store. Getting to see it, meaningfully, is another issue. If it is hooked up with a bunch of other monitors, you may find that the demo program that they run doesn't really reveal much in the way of gaming performance.
