lcd monitor for video editing and graphic design

Hi, I'm looking to get monitor that can handle both. Size can be up to 21". I would use mainly for student video art work and professional graphic design. I cannot afford Apple, I'm looking for model up to $400.

Any suggestions?

Without color calibration your editing could be "off."
