Lcd is rendering only every second vertical line

I have a HP laptop, that had a broken screen. I got screen, that is provided for dell and I red that it should be compatible. I installed it but it render exactly every second vertical line.

Is there any chance of getting it to work?

Try an external monitor.

It helps to pinpoint if it's a display or video chipset issue.

I use external monitor for some months, it works great.

Then it's your cable, LCD or LCD interface.

I'd try to find the exact display for the laptop. Mixing and matching has not worked well for most.
