LCD decisions

Dec 16, 2004 9:09AM PST

I am looking at purchasing either the Sharp 32 or 37 inch LCD. I have hesitations due to the media box that is needed for these televisions. What kind of access do i need to the media box? I have researched additional length cables for these media boxes and a 25 foot cable runs about 450 dollars. I have seen after market ones for about 215 but my most recent idea is to install the LCD on the wall and leave the media box in the basement and run my additional components from a corner of this room to the media box in the basement. I am also looking at the 32 Phillips with ambilight is this an overpriced set? Can anyone help with this topic?
