The top 2 posts offer insight into disassembly.
2. Dell documentation. How I found it.
a. Googled Dell Inspiron 6400 DOCUMENTATION
b. First hit and then HINGE COVER. More there.
I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop in which the right hinge has become stiff and needs to be replaced. Can you please advise me about how to remove it. I have unscrewed the hinge from the LCD panel( 2 screws) as well as the screw in the vicinity of the keyboard(1 screw) holding the hinge on to the top of the laptop body. The hinge just does not budge as if it is also screwed elsewhere inside. I have also tried removing the screw at the back without success. Can anyone please help.
Thanks for the assistance
