Sorry, no.

The SX50 doesn't have an external mic input, so there is no "pipeline".
> How do I get the audio from the lapel microphones into the video, into the computer editing software?"
In addition to the above, the link you posted appears to be to just the mic and transmitter, not the receiver, so there's no way that I can see to record any sound from the mic at all.
>"Does this mean that the 'cameraman,' needs to be walking around with a laptop to receive the lavalier microphone audio as well as the camera?"
Laptop? I'm not aware of any laptop that's capable of receiving signals from G-622. Are you saying you have one? If so, that would change things.

Hello everyone!
I have a question regarding the use of a Lavalier microphone in conjunction with a camera. I'm relatively new to Video Production, but for fun me and some friends are getting into skits (something as a semi-actor I've always wanted to do) and short movies.
I was looking at this camera: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/canon-canon-powershot-sx50-hs-12-1mp-50x-optical-zoom-digital-camera-with-mini-tripod-black-sx50-hs/10232633.aspx?path=ec13bb5489069c61c9a15f921afcde41en02
And this microphone:

I was just wondering first of all if these two products are even compatible with each other?
If they are, what is the quality of the two? Remembering that we are on budgets as students.
So, what exactly is the pipeline between the two? How do I get the audio from the lapel microphones into the video, into the computer editing software? Does this mean that the 'cameraman,' needs to be walking around with a laptop to receive the lavalier microphone audio as well as the camera?
Sorry if the question is unclear, or if this is in the wrong section.
Regards.
