Last week, a few complaints about Android OS Upgrades.

http://www.techrepublic.com/article/the-android-upgrade-conundrum-whos-at-fault/ is a pretty good primer on why our Android devices are all over the map.

I didn't read enough detail about the carriers role in all this but my conversations with them over the years could be distilled down to support calls if they roll out a big Android OS update. Users want and hate change. Since you can't please them all the easy way is to not issue any update except when you are feeling the burn from security issues.
