it is incorrect.
While the RAM and CPU are both soldered to the logic board, there is room inside for a PCIe SSD along with the existing hard drive.
Accessing the insides of the unit is a little difficult, but with the aid of the correct tools, a TR6 tor Security Driver, and a little patience, the new late 2014 MacMini is your oyster.
Details on how to take it apart can be found here: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Mac+Mini+Late+2014+Teardown/30410
Ain't Google wonderful

Can someone tell me what the last upgradable version of the mac mini was? My understanding is that the current version is a totally sealed unit (which is a rant for another day!). I'm content to pick up a used one on Ebay and upgrade w/ an SSD and some extra RAM.
Thanks!
