Today's inkjets print great output. The lasers are fine too, but are better for low cost per page and not photos. To get even "ok" photos you need HP's RET or 1200DPI or both to get a "decent" (my standards) photo.
I'm unsure where you live, but here the printers have example printouts you can touch and feel.

I do print text and photos. For expample my curriculum has also my picture. I?m planning to buy a color printer and alhough I know the pro/cons between a laserjet and an inkjet printer, I do not know wich technology will give me better quality
