Large screen TV outside on patio

by Roadking2003 / March 20, 2007 11:17 PM PDT

I would like to move my 60" Pioneer HDTV (projection) to a covered patio. There is no chance it would get wet from rain, but obviously it will be subject to higher levels of humidity and heat.

I've had a 36" tube TV there for 2 years and had no problems.

Does anyone have experience with large TVs outdoors? Any problems?

What kind of humidity climate are you in? I would consult technical service from Pioneer and ask them if they suggest any sort of tweaks to the cooling fan system because if you are putting your TV in a more humid atmosphere the cooling fan may work too hard since there are already more water molecules in the air, depending on where you live.

Outdoor tv 's are becoming more and more popular. I have had mine outside for a while now and have not had any problems. The biggest problem I had was getting the video source to the tv with a decent signal.

You will need a dust cover, you can pick one up at

hope this helps-AZM

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
