large capacity mp3 player reccomendations wanted!

by hazardousfurs / December 9, 2007 7:38 PM PST

i used to own an iriver h340, and before it was stolen it was easily the best mp3 player i have ever used. i would love another one, but irivers are becoming increasingly rare in australia, the model is discontinued (to the best of my knowledge), h340s on ebay often go for heaps more than the original price, and maybe it's just time for a change.

to put it simply, i'm looking for a large-capacity mp3 player (40/60gb+) that is navigated through FOLDERS, not TAGS.

ideally, the player would have many (or even all) of the functions the h340 had (such as video, images, documents, recording, etc.), but apparently coming across an mp3 player that doesn't navigate primarily though tags is difficult enough as is nowadays.

so, can anyone help? i don't mind saving up if it has a huge price tag.

thanks!

I had one of those back in the day
the 60GB actually, didn't like it too much, especially after the harddisk died

H340 iRiver
by Angelina9 / July 8, 2009 9:15 AM PDT

I just got a H340 iRiver. It played the few songs that were on it at first. And it played the FM Radio. But, now after I connected it to my computer and downloaded some songs (and installed the iRiver H340 software) it no longer plays songs, or the radio. In fact, the buttons don't work past the opening screen with # of Folders and # of Songs...
Can you help, or direct me to where I could find help with this? Thank you.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
