Large area Wireless Netowork

Feb 11, 2010 1:07AM PST

Hello All,

I am looking to set up a large area wireless network. The area spans about 1 1/2 football fields long and less that half a football field wide. Its basically a shopping center, but most of the buildings are not connected. Preferably I would like it to be one network from end to end. We currently have the location wired with cat e5 to all the buildings. We are adding the wireless network to accommodate new technologies and conveniences. Some questions I have are:

Will repeaters to the job?

Will repeaters need to be outside or will inside do?

We use static IP's will basic(aka everyday)wireless equipment handle this? We are in a remote location with limited access to good electronic stores so replacements would have to be ordered online.

For redundancy is one wireless network from end to end not a good plan?

Thanks any suggestions will be welcomed we are making the switch to wireless and are at a loss when it comes to best solutions.

Mike

If I am posting this in the wrong area please let me know and i will move it right away.

Thanks

Has engineers that work with companies to solve such. Why not let them do the work?
