The battery circuit on the mainboard is suspect and not a battery failure. It's either that or some odd connection issue from battery to main/other board.

Hi, I have a strange problem on my Toshiba C50-A-1HP laptop.
It runs fine on mains and the battery is fully charged but if I disconnect the power, the laptop turns off. I can't turn on the laptop with just the battery present, I need to plug in to mains.
That would indicate the battery is the problem except I can put that battery into my partner's laptop (the same model) and it works perfectly fine in there. Once the battery has been used a while on that laptop and I place it back in mine it continues to charge up fine, yet the laptop will still not switch to using the battery to power it when I remove the mains.
Any clues?
