Laptop with Vista and external IBM hardrive

by glitzgal / July 8, 2007 4:49 AM PDT

I just purchased an HP laptop that has Vista Premium on it, and my desktop is an HP with XP on it.

I have an external IBM hardrive that has worked fine with my desktop for 2 years. Yesterday I tried to move some files onto my laptop from my external harddrive and now it will not recognize my desktop.

Has anyone encountered this?

Harddrive is an IBM 40gb harddrive

Desktop in an HP with XP

Laptop has Vista Home Premium on it.

Any PASSWORD on that drive?

One touch backup and password software is known to cause this.
