Laptop will boot to Black Screen only

Dec 14, 2009 5:15AM PST

I have a Presario Notebook V2000T, Windows XP/HE S/T:V2405US, P/N:EH458UA, 512RAM, BIOS:F11.
The HDD 40GB was replace due to damage, I replace the HDD with a 100GB?
Tried to do a fresh installation of Windows XP HE, but was unable to. because the HDD drive is not detected?
It boots normal then stops at the flashing (-)? In the background flashing you can see Operating System not found.
But if I boot to F8 I'm able to get on with no problem.
I check the Device Manager there is no problem all drivers are present.
When to HP Compaq Updated the SMB Bus Controller, BIOS, Video Controller, Sound, everything is fine.
So can anyone tell me *** to do? out of option & Solution

FYI I'm in F8 Windows posting this Help
