Laptop Tapping & Win7

Nov 15, 2009 4:20AM PST

Hello everybody,
I have a laptop that came with vista pre-installed. Later, I went with XP after having some problems with it. When I did, I could no longer find a way to turn off tapping for my mousepad.

Now, I have windows 7 professional and do not seem to be given the ability to turn it off with it either. I hate tapping, and Fn-F7 is a pain sometimes.

It is a Acer Aspire 5315-2153 - and I have tried to obtain the vista drivers from acer, but it doesn't seem to do anything but give me the documentation when I open up the program, or go to the manufacture's tab in the mouse part of control panel.

Any help? I have a lot of school work and don't have some of my programs on my desktop.

Thanks a million in advance.

I use an external mouse. Solved.

Yeah... but...

I would prefer to make it work the way it should. That is a good fallback, though. Thanks for help!
