Question

Laptop suddenly rebooting itself

by ditobagus / October 13, 2013 8:33 PM PDT

I have a laptop Acer 2920 and have used it since 2008. The longest hours using it was 10 hours without a battery. Recently, a couple of problems hit my laptop from a sudden reboot, screen suddenly stop/freeze, and the worst one is this http://www.4shared.com/file/xICVyLLA/troubleshoot1.html.

I don't know what that is so I uploaded a video. Anyone please let me know what kind of troubleshooting I have now.

Thank you Happy

Can't download video

At least, I can't view without registering myself or installing a download manager. So no help for that video.

I'd do a good internal cleaning of such an old laptop. If that doesn't help it probably isn't worth the repair anymore.

Nod to the deep cleaning after that many years you may also need to replace heat sink compounds and also run a drive fitness test.

It's a common issue with that old a laptop. You didn't tell if you did the work or had the work I noted done.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
