Laptop stuck on black screen after reboot

Typically I use my laptop on a dual screen setup. Now I'm traveling without the extra monitor and mistakenly set the second monitor as primary.
When I reboot I get a black screen and no way to login our change anything.
I can login in secure mode but stating Windows normally gets me always to the black screen
He'll please!!!!

What is Secure Mode?

Never heard of that mode. Do try Safe Mode.

Re: screen

Can you undo that setting in Safe Mode?
If not, find somebody that is willing to let you use his monitor for a few minutes to set the laptop monitor as primary again.

As far as I know, this should be automatically if no external monitor is detected. But it seems that doesn't happen, so you'll have to do it yourself.
