Laptop Spontaneously Reboots

I have an HP Compaq nc6110 laptop. It has a habit of spontaneously rebooting in the middle of a task, e.g., while I'm taking notes in class. This has happened a dozen or more times in the last 4 months. I've run a virus scan on it and it appears to be clean. Any ideas?

This laptop has the usual mobile CPU http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12135_div/12135_div.HTML so that's not the old Pentium 4 issue.

How long since you dusted out the vents and heatsinks? How old is the unit?

Why not make it their problem?

And does spyware scans such as EWIDO find any pest? HOUSECALL?
