Someone didn't put on heatsink compound or the heatsink isn't touching down.
I got a new motherboard for my Dell Latitude e6410 (the old one works but has an intel gpu whereas the new one has an nvidia gpu) and after powering it on it shuts itself off after about 5-45 seconds after turning on. The screen will turn on and begin to load bios but shuts off before I can run any commands. I have tried powering on without the battery, with just the battery, without the hdd, without the optical drive, and any combinations of the above. I have tried using multiple chargers so I know it's not that either. Everything works when it is attached to my old motherboard but will not start when attached to the new one. I have tried removing both the charging cable and the battery and holding the power button down for 30-45 seconds. I have tried removing the bios battery and leaving it removed for a while, I have not tried using the bios battery from the other motherboard and do not know if I should (would there be a point?). Any help would be greatly appreciated because I'm lost here. I can't understand why it won't stay on long enough to install everything.
