When the adapter is plugged in the power profile changes to run the CPU and such harder. The laptop does need repair but to give you time to arrange that use the Power settings that you find on battery to set the ones that it uses while on AC.
This is not an offer to teach how to use the Power applet in Windows. Just what I would do to get by until the machine is repaired.
I have toshiba satelite a200/j01
it's been a year and i started to have this problem:
my laptop frequently shutdown while i'm using it.
then later i realize that if the ac adaptor isn't plugged, it works just fine.
but whenever i plug the ac adaptor to my laptop when it's on, the laptop suddenly shutdown without any warning. the only time i can recharge the battery is when the laptop is off.
it's just frustrating that now i can only use my laptop for around 1and half hour then shut it down and recharge it again.
my question is, do you think it's something wrong with the adaptor or the battery or is it something else?
please help me, this problem has buggin me for a while now.
