Question

Laptop shutdown minutes after start up

Mar 9, 2018 12:32AM PST

Hello! So I have laptop Asus K550J when I start up the laptop after a few minutes pops up a CMD window for a second and then the laptop shutsdown by itself. Also this happens only when is plugged on charger. That happens only once after I turn on the laptop. And a few days before that started to happen I used the automatic shutdown command in Run. And I tried stopping it by typing "shutdown -a" but nothing happened. I am guessing there is still some process running.

Check Scheduled Tasks

Click on Start and type Task Scheduler or Scheduled Tasks. When the Task Scheduler window opens click on the tiny arrow next to Task Library in the left-hand column. Look through the list(s) of tasks to see if there's one for automatic shutdown. If so, disable or delete it. Restart the laptop and see if the problem is solved.
