- Only the internal screen, or an external screen also?
- What changed since it last worked OK (say, you upgraded Windows, you dropped the laptop, ...)?

External screens are fine. When I plug an external screen the laptop's screen goes back to normal. I admit that I wasn't treating my laptop good, it drop few times.

Fixes can be motherboard, cables and sometimes the display. Get estimates.
