I'm not sure if this will work, but how confident are you about opening up a laptop?
If you are confident enough, locate the BIOS battery-remove it
then find the CMOS jumper-set it to erase for a few seconds.
then replace both bits. and maybe it will come on.
ONLY DO THIS IF YOU KNOW WTHAT YOU ARE DOING AND ALSO IF THE WHOLE COMPUTER IS DEAD-BY THIS I MEAN THAT IF THER FANS AND OPTICAL DRIVES AREN'T WORKING, THEN THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM AND IT PROBABLY ISNT THE MONITOR.
You can try and get a new power supply unit, if this is the case
Hope ive helped

Hello, I am having a problem with my Toshiba Satellite 1735.
The power cord was plugged out as the laptop was on and the screen went blank and
did not come back. At that time the battery was dead.
I have turned it on and off over and over but nothing happens. The power light turns
on, but that is it.
Please help if you can. Thank you.
